Adventure Staff

A vitally important job at Eagle Sky, the Adventure Staff oversees the events and safety of any visitor or staff taking part in all activities.  Adventure Staff can serve on the Eagle Sky Aerial Challenge Course, in the Ball Fields, and in many other activities.  Each member of this team must be flexible to serve in several facets of the Adventure Staff, and may also be called upon to serve in other departments if the need arises.

What you’ll need:
A strong relationship with God
A heart for encouraging kids in all types of activities
Attention to detail (you will be following a lot of procedures)

Requirements:
Adventure Staff (general activities and ropes courses) – 18 years or older, no education required

The perfect fit has a heart for encouraging kids in all types of activities. On the Adventure team you will have an incredible opportunity to help every camper build character as well as strengthen their ability to believe in themselves.
A desire to grow in God; every team member needs a teachable attitude as well as a desire to grow though seeking God’s best for your life.

AVL Tech

AVL Techs are responsible for audio, visual, and lighting needs around camp. Responsibilities include operating sound systems and lighting boards during services, and the same responsibilities extend to events outside of auditoriums, like outdoor events. AVL Techs may be called upon to assist in other areas if the need arises.

What you’ll need: A love of technology, as you will be using a ton of it. The ability to be teachable: if you want to learn, then we want to teach you!

Age Requirements: 18 years old or older

The perfect fit has a good ear for music a good eye for excellence and above all a strong relationship with Christ.

Camp Store

Store employees will assist full-time store staff in operating the camp stores. Responsibilities include stocking, operating the cash register, re-stocking, and assisting guests in the store. May be asked to help in other departments as needed.

What you’ll need: A smiling face! We like to make sure every camper coming into the store is greeted with a friendly face and a hello, so being cheerful is a must.

Age requirements: 18 years old or older

The perfect fit has: A happy disposition, and a strong relationship with Christ.

Counselor

One of the most important jobs in all of camp ministry is the Counselor Staff. Counselors accompany the campers 24/7 for the entire duration of a camper’s session. No one has more of an impact on a camper’s experience than their counselor.

What you’ll need:
A strong relationship with God and a heart for kids ministry; As a counselor you will be pouring out into the lives of kids everyday, it’s important that you are grounded in your faith.

Requirements: at least 18 years old and at least one full year removed from high school at the beginning of orientation.

The perfect fit has; high energy and an upbeat attitude for interacting with young kids, organizational skills, and punctual nature to get your bunk to activities and chapel on time!

CIT - Counselor In Training

Job Overview

Counselors in Training will work alongside the Senior Counselors to care for the safety, growth, and well-being of a group of campers. They will spiritually lead campers through encouragement, fun, teaching, and service. CITs will lead their campers in daily Biblical devotions and direct their campers’ schedules. They will seek to make camp memorable and growth-filled through creative and unique experiences. They will be staying in the cabin for the duration of the session.

Age Requirement

CITs are high school students at least 16 years old.

Session Dates

  • June 3-8
  • July 8-13
  • July 15-20

CITs must report to camp by 10:00 am on the session start date. This is to allow time for training and moving into their assigned cabin. CITs will be released from their duties at 10:30 am and must be picked up before 12:30 pm on the last day of the session they are working. 

***You may choose to work up to two sessions. We highly encourage CITs to attend a week of our Teen Program camp as well.

How to Apply

You will need to provide 3 references. Once your application is complete, a member of our staff will reach out to schedule an interview.

Benefits

CITs will have daily devotionals led by the lead counselors. They will also gain insight into the role of a counselor. CITs will have the opportunity to pour into the lives of our kid campers.

Pay

CITs will be paid $200 per session. They will also receive a 50% discount to attend an Eagle Sky Teen Camp.

Floater

Do you love serving others anywhere and anytime that you are needed? These are the hero’s that will be working in every department whenever/wherever they are needed! It’s a great position for someone who wants to be a part of camp ministry and learn what it’s all about! Do you love hanging out with kids and staff? This is for you!

What you’ll need:
A strong relationship with God and a heart for ministry, you will be pouring yourself into the lives and the work of camp ministry!

Requirements: 18 years old or older and willing to dive right into the job that’s assigned, working along with some great staff that will guide you along the way!

Food Service

Foods Service is responsible for assisting with cooking each meal for every guest and staff member, including any events where guests may require a meal outside of the main dining hall or camp kitchens. Food Service may be called upon to assist in events in other capacities.

What you’ll need:
A strong relationship with God, a heart to learn, and a drive to complete jobs quickly and efficiently.

Requirements: 18 years old or older.

Grounds Maintenance

Grounds Crew is responsible for keeping the amazing property God has blessed Eagle Sky with up to the highest standard possible. While there is no education or experience level required each member of this team must be able to confidently operate landscaping equipment. The Grounds Crew may also be called upon to serve in other areas if needed.

What you’ll need: A basic understanding of mowers and weed eaters, and a strong work ethic.

Age Requirements: 18 years old or older.

The perfect fit has: The ability to look at a big job and work one step at a time and a strong relationship with Christ.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping team keeps facilities clean and organized. Responsibilities include cleaning of bunk houses after campers leave, stocking supplies, and cleaning outbuildings. May be asked to help in other departments as needed.

What you’ll need: No fear of laundry and cleaning supplies, and a strong work ethic.

Age Requirements: 18 years old or older.

The perfect fit has: The ability to stay on task even when you have multiple tasks, and a strong relationship with Christ.

Lifeguard

Maintenance

Do you like to work with your hands in construction and general repair? Camp Life includes fixing things and building projects! We need general laborers to come alongside our skilled staff to help in these areas. This position requires the willingness to serve and the ability to use a shovel, a hammer, and other tools to perform duties as needed. Your service is taking care of the buildings and other facilities here at Eagle Sky

Age requirements: 18 years old or older.

Nurse Assistant

The Seasonal Nursing staff assists the full time safety services of Eagle Sky. While being a RN or LPN is preferred, some applicants may also be eligible for employment if they are registered in a nursing program and wish to work under the supervision of an RN or LPN working for Eagle Sky. The responsibilities include assisting in administering medication, and treating minor to severe injuries that may be sustained by guests during their visit.

What you’ll need: A strong relationship with God, and a love for kids! The ability to remain calm, and attention to detail.

Requirements: At least 18 years of age. RN certification or LPN certification, or registered in a nursing program.

The perfect fit has: An upbeat attitude, an ability to multi-task, and a love for Jesus and kids!

Office Personnel

The seasonal office personnel works closely alongside our full-time office personnel. Assisting in all check-in and check-out, as well as record keeping and data entry.

What you’ll need:
A strong relationship with God
Strong organizational skills
A basic understanding of computers, specifically programs like Word and Excel.

Requirements: because of handling all kinds of important documents applicants must be at least 18 years old. Previous clerical preferred, but not required.

Photographer

Do you love serving others anywhere and anytime that you are needed? Are you a photographer who will engage in recording recreation, games, and worship services? Are you willing to do other jobs as needed, along with praying for the staff and guests? Do you have a high energy level that can work long days capturing and editing photos that tell the story of Eagle Sky? Then this is the job for you!

What you’ll need: A high energy level that is willing to dive right into the job that’s assigned, working along with some great staff that will guide you along the way!

Age Requirements: 18 years old or older

Ranch Hand

Do you love working with cattle, mending fences, feeding large animals while being a part of a growing ministry that guides others to Jesus?

We need Ranch Hands to help our Ranch staff during the summer! Ranch hands work hard, this is not for everyone, when they finish a day of work, they know they’ve given it all to the Lord. During the evenings’ Ranch staff are encouraged to engage in the ministry side of the camp and attend services with the other staff members.

Ranch Hands may also be asked to help in other departments as needed and need a willing heart to serve wherever they are asked to work.

What you’ll need: Experience working with large animals, building and mending fences, along with a positive attitude. Ranch Hands work hard so a strong work ethic is a must along with a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Resident Director

Do you love serving others and encouraging them to reach their full potential? We need Resident Directors to lead and encourage the summer staff. Resident Directors will work part time and then oversee the summer staff housing environment. In addition, R.D.’s will plan staff social events throughout the summer.

Eagle Sky is a non-denominational camp and the R.D.’s will help summer staff navigate being introduced to living away from home and in a community environment with others from different Christian denominations. R.D.’s guide the dorm room life while engaging staff as they learn social skills needed for independent living away from home. Each R.D. will also have a part-time job here at Eagle Sky. These jobs will include serving in one of the various departments of the camp.

What you’ll need: An encouraging heart! Our R.D.’s will be the ones to help staff who have never lived away from home navigate life skills as well as engage in the building up of the body from many different backgrounds and cultures. Having a positive attitude and strong work ethic is a must.

Age requirements: 20 years old or older.

Security

The seasonal security position is responsible for greeting incoming and outgoing guests, making rounds of property to check gates, and being observant.

What you’ll need: A great attitude, to be detail oriented, to be friendly, and a pleasant, but firm demeanor.

Snack Shack

Do you love serving others and sharing your smile with our staff and guests?

Snack Shop staff bring their positive energy to the campers during the afternoons and nights!

Responsibilities include stocking, operating the cash register, re-stocking, and assisting guests in the snack shop. As we grow, we will be introducing new food items to our snack shop, so you will be preparing those food items too! Snack Shop employees will also assist store staff in operating the camp stores, you may also be asked to help in other departments as needed.

What you’ll need: A smiling face! We like to make sure every camper coming into the snack shop is greeted with a friendly face and a hello, so being cheerful is a must. Be ready to work on time and make sure that your work environment is kept clean and tidy for our guests when they arrive in the Snack shop!
