Eagle Sky of Kenya Website

The website for Eagle Sky of Kenya has just been launched! Eagle Sky of Kenya is the third Eagle Sky camp in development. In 2007 the Eagle Sky Board voted to build and operate Eagle Sky of Kenya, or Kenya Youth Camps as it will be known in Kenya. The camp is in development on a piece of land within Dominion Farms which is located in western Kenya where the equator crosses Lake Victoria. The camp will be different than it’s conterparts, due to the vastly different needs of Kenyan youth. Classes, vocational training, and other activities will be unique to Eagle Sky of Kenya. If you would like to know more, please visit Eagle Sky of Kenya and Dominion Farms.

I am extremely intersested in your camp in Kenya. Through films like “God Grew Tired of US” and “Hotel Rwanda” to name a few, I am finally beginning to understand what mission work is all about. Not only can the essentials be provided for but in the lives of Africans where the genocide, the brutality, the horrific destruction of life as they have witnessed, that God is the one and only answer and to me this would be the most important aspect of all mission work. No matter what they are facing they should know that God loves them and always has.Matthew 11: verses 4 thru 6 says” 4 Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen—5 the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. 6 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me.” This is an amazing revelation to me in the fact that organizations like yours are willing to open camps that not only can provide the necessities of life but also teach them that no matter what they have witnessed in their past or will experince in their future that God is with them through it all. I am a 47 year old man that was raised by a Southern Baptist preacher and a school teacher mom. I have done limited mission work but Africa has always been in my heart. Please forgive me if I have not expressed myself clearly, but I am looking forward to future news in regards to your camp in Kenya. There are images in my mind of the destruction in Africa that I cannot seem to erase, but they are somewhat alleviated knowing that there are organizations like yours that are implenting changes. God Bless You. Jody
