The Vision to build Eagle Sky began with Dr. J. D. McKean in the 1990s. Over 40 years after he attended church camp as a teenager, the Holy Spirit reminded Dr. McKean of his camping experience. That resulted in the establishment of the Eagle Sky Foundation through which property could be purchased and camps built to impact youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dr. McKean recently shared,

The whole Eagle Sky vision is summed up with two simple directions from the Holy Spirit, follow Him and trust Him.

The Eagle Sky Board stepped out in faith to begin master planning of Eagle Sky of the Ozarks in 2003. In the fall of 2005 the Board approved Phase I of construction, which focused on infrastructure and the first cabins. The vision for Eagle Sky Foundation is growing quickly, and now has plans for camps in Missouri Ozarks, and the Colorado Rockies.

Make a Contribution

If you would like to put your faith behind the Eagle Sky Foundation, your contribution of cash, ”gifts in kind”,or other assets such as appreciated stock will assist in funding the Eagle Sky Vision. Contributions received will only go towards capital improvements. Eagle Sky camps will provide a special place for children, youth, and adults to be challenged by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
